SGA Executive Board

 LaMarco Aikens, President

Lamarco Aikens is a senior from St. Louis, Missouri majoring in Educational Studies with a minor in Psychology. This year is Lamarco's first term as Student Government President. Previously Lamarco has served as president of the Student Pep Club a.k.a the Hive. Along with SGA, he will also serve as a general member of the Hive and is a student ambassador for the university. Summer 2017 he will serve as an intern for the Wyman Foundation as a College Readiness Coordinator. Aside from being the most outgoing and loudest person on campus, Lamarco often volunteers his time assisting with events held on campus. Lamarco was a member of the Governor's Missouri Collegiate Fellows Program under the leadership of Judge Marvin Teer and Jay Nixon. LaMarco plans to be a college advisor in the high schools so he can help teens further their education and get closer to achieving their goal of becoming a college graduate. His overall goal is to CHANGE THE WORLD.

 Aaron Batiste, Vice President

Aaron is a senior from Los Angeles, California, majoring in Secondary Education with an emphasis in social studies. Aaron has been active within SGA since 2016 when he served as Mr. Harris-Stowe State University 2016-2017. In addition to SGA, Aaron is a Residential Assistant on campus and has held several leadership roles in organizations such as the Black Male Initiative, Honda Campus All-Star Challenge, and Royal Court. His aspirations are to bridge the gap between high school students transitioning into college while also aiming to receive his master’s degree in educational administrations with a focus of HBCU’s.

 Lindsey White, Secretary 

Lindsey White is a sophomore majoring in Early childhood education with a emphasis in special education and minor in Psychology. Previously in SGA, Lindsey served as the Recording Secretary for the 2016/2017 cabinet, a General member of Campus Activity Board, and a Resident assistant for a Summer bridge Program which caters to incoming freshmen bridging the gap into college from high school. Along with her involvement on SGA, She is the head of an after school program in The St. Louis Public School District and a mentor to young women at St. Louis Job Corp. After going on to achieve both her masters and doctorate in psychology, Lindsey aspires to become an award winning child psychologist and blur the line of special education in school districts all over the world. Lindsey believes that child are our future and our future is looking very BRIGHT!

 Dajon Stewart, Treasurer

Dajon is a sophomore from St.Louis, Missouri, majoring in Mathematics/Mechanical Engineering. Dajon has been involved on campus since he stepped foot on Harris-Stowe State University campus. Dajon is involved in organizations and programs on campus such as a member  Black Male Initiative, general member in the Campus Activity Board, The Verizon Innovative Learning Program also completed a transitional program on campus called The Summer Bridge Program. This is Dajon's first year in SGA and plans to make an impact in his job by making sure SGA allocates and spend money wisely due to the recent budget cut that the school has. Dajon aspires to be President of the Black Male Initiative and SGA. Also he wants to be the go to person on campus for anything that need to be done. After graduating from Harris-Stowe Dajon wants to work for Hyundai in there robotics division.
