While most HSSU employees have been advised to work from home, IT Services realizes that very few individuals were able to redirect their work phones prior to this announcement. If you would like to have HSSU IT Services redirect your office phone, please visit the URL below to fill out the Phone Redirect Request Form.
Please also note that employee office phones will continue to record messages that are then sent directly to employee email inboxes.
For instructions on how to manually enable Call-Forwarding on your HSSU office phone, please see our Call-Forwarding Instructions.
Other methods for communication include Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Please note that if you are using MS Skype, the product is due to be replaced by MS Teams; therefore, we are recommending the use of MS Teams. Teams also has video and audio conferencing included. To view self-training options, go to http://www.hssu.edu/techtraining. Best practices and tips for setting up and managing your Zoom sessions can be found at https://blog.zoom.us/wordpress/2020/03/27/best-practices-for-securing-your-virtual-classroom/. Likewise, recommendations for using MS Teams can be found at https://edudownloads.azureedge.net/msdownloads/MicrosoftTeamsforEducation_QuickGuide_EN-US.pdf.
At any time, an employee who will need assistance with home technology can contact the HSSU IT Services team by filling out the following form:
